Kerry,
My very sweet mother-in-law is obsessed with SSD show like nothing else!! She is 80 now and never asks for anything. Imagine my surprise when she asked me to take her to Vancouver, BC this summer to see the sites where the show was filmed! I want to do the best for her, but we live in Vancouver, WA and I am not familiar at all with the BC area. I can’t find anything online about where exact filming locations were. Would you be able to share some addresses with me? I’ve tried explaining that Vancouver is a big town and we probably won’t find much just driving around but she still wants to try! Thank you for any help you can offer, Natasha!

Hi Bill, thanks so much for your comment! It is always really fun for me to hear from other “armchair location scouts”. And I too, love SSD!!! Wasn’t last nights movie fantastic? I had chills by the first commercial; true story!

I was able to track down 4 locations from last nights film, even before it ended, which excited me! I’ve looked for SSD locations in the past and they really don’t use many recurring locations. I was thrilled to track down Shane’s house!!! The Road Less Traveled was shot entirely on location in Vancouver, BC and surrounding areas. Production did a nice job with a sign at the hotel, supposedly in Pueblo, Colorado, but my eagle eye knew immediately where that hotel sits in real life and the camera angles (intentionally) cut out the hotels actual sign. I look very forward to doing a future post featuring locations from last nights film. I hope you’ll consider subscribing to my blog. My wife and I are HUGE fans of all the Hallmark movies, and we have become very fond of the SSD Series. I, more than my wife, am a real “bug” about searching out locations seen in so many of the shows. do you know if any of the scenes in the latest SSD (The Road Less Travelled) were actually shot in Colorado? We are planning an extensive trip in that part of the country later in the year.

Aw, Net, I love hearing what a super fan you are of SSD! I LOVE the messages of hope that are shown every single time. It really makes you feel so good!!! I LOVE what you said about the swing. What a beautiful description and so true. When I visited Shane’s house, it was right before Halloween so the place was decked out. I cannot wait to see it without the decor and I think spring would be great too with all kinds of flowers on the porch, some window boxes, and yes, yellow roses. 🙂 The fence is really cute, just needs some fresh paint. I will be interested to see how the porch looks after they film the next one; if they cover the stone wall up with the magic of Hollywood or…….? Thanks for your support Net……I appreciate it!
