Kris, thank you SO MUCH for your kind words about my website. I’m afraid I am a wee bit behind on posting as of late. Life has had me distracted but I still have many more locations to write about. How wonderful that you landed a position in the fort. You will have eyes on all the filming taking place there……how fun will that be? I do love the Clayburn area too……was just watching a Lifetime movie last night and the B & B I wrote about in Clayburn showed up in the movie. I always love it when that happens. I did write about Deep Cove in a series I did on the series, Cedar Cove. Be sure and look for it. I loved Deep Cove……it is incredibly beautiful and I wonder why we don’t see a lot more of it on film!!! Thanks again for stopping by my website and my best to you in Fort Langley!!! 🙂

Last night I watched a re-run of A Harvest Wedding. It was my first time seeing it and I loved it! It was also incredible interesting to me because I was born and raised in Vancouver and where I live now is not too far away from Fort Langley, about a 20 minute drive. In fact very recently I started a new position and it is right in the heart of Fort Langley. Which I am so excited about because I love it there! I have gone there countless times through the years and now that I get to go there on a regular basic is fabulous! So much history and wonderful things to see and do. I just very recently came across this website of yours and I thoroughly enjoyed reading the whole thing! Awesome working putting it all together! I’ll have to look around and see if I can find Sarah’s house! Fort Langley is an extremely popular place for filming all kinds of t.v shows and movie features with all it’s charm, unique old builds and so many picturesque features. You also mentioned about Clayburn! My Aunt grew up there! Another fairly local place you may be interested in checking out someday that is another very popular area for filming is Deep Cove in North Vancouver. It’s another very charming and picturesque area right by the water. That’s where Kate Winslet was raving about the donuts from a local bakery there! I really look forward to finding more of your very wonderful stories about Hallmark films. Keep up the great work Kerry!

Hi Bill….thanks so much for your keen observation! Gotta love how these movies utilize scenery from all around the country and in some cases, the world. Most folks, like myself, wouldn’t know the difference like you did in A Harvest Wedding. Thanks Susan! Glad you enjoyed this one. 🙂 I am enjoying my days for now and we’ll see what the future brings! Of course we know it will involve discovering more film locations…..LOL! I think a part time job would be great so that way, I could find a happy balance between blogging and working.

Aw, thanks so much Net! It really was a fun day……and trust me, it was like a movie mystery for me too!!! I never did locate the AT film crew…..maybe next time! And Haley Dean just started shooting so you never know whats next, right?

I was really happy to have met Lori and thrilled that she took the time to say a quick hello. You just never know. Growing up in LA and meeting celebs, I know personally its not always like that. My friend Linds, who has the film locations blog, has all kinds of stories about her “encounters gone wrong”. I believe as an actor, it is part of your role, part of what you singed up for, to engage fans. It doesn’t mean fans can be obnoxious and disrespect your privacy nor does it mean that actors owe you a chunk of their time. My encounter with Lori was literally 90 seconds, including taking photos. She was driven to the set and the set was ready to film…..and I am smart enough to understand that and I didn’t monopolize her time. After all, she does have a job to do and they were waiting for her. There is a saying “One smile can change someones day”. We never know what is going on in someones life and it costs us nothing to be kind. In this case, Lori gave me a sweet little memory and it really didn’t take any effort on her part, just 90 seconds of her time on the way to the set. And I’m grateful. Right place, right time!!!
