Hi Kerry I'm a fist time reader if your blog. I found your enthusiasm intriguing & moved me to read more... I'm an amateur locations scout lol mostly for my friends... they call me 'tour-guide Jen" my husband gets a kick out of it when I jump out off the couch when recognizing a location. I just read this comment and I can confirm that it is the same 1. I don’t even need to search it. I lovveeeee the new Nancy Drew series and i recorded all the episodes for Cedar Cove and I am watching them back to back. And i was immediately able to spot it. I’m detail oriented so I easily catch stuff like this all the time but as it was mentioned in the article like Moon’s place, thats going to be hard to get used to the location change cuz im going to know the difference and if its not going to be explained in the show lol then im going to have to come up w with my own. 🙂

Thats really cool! I just also wanted to comment that I was just watching season 1 episode 13 when justine and her boyfriend bought a restaurant and I immediately realized that its the same restaurant that is used in the Nancy Drew TV series on CW. The exterior and interior are exactly the same. Nothing has changed except the filter that they use which is darker on Nancy Drew. I found it really interesting that 2 completely different shows can use the same location and have it look the exact same way. Im surprised nothing was changed about it. Usually set designers love to change stuff.

Hi Stephanie, thanks for your comment. Although I have not “scene” the new Nancy Drew series, I did a quick google search and discovered that yes, it is the same location as Seth & Justines restaurant that burned. Here is a link to a piece I did, which includes that location. Part Three: The Town of Cedar Cove Good eye!!! It has been used in many movies & shows. The restaurant may have closed down but film crews keep it alive!!! 🙂

I’m watching the new CW’s Nancy Drew tv series and every time I see the restaurant “The Claw” I am overwhelmed with being reminded of the restaurant that burns in Hallmark’s Cedar Cove series. After snooping online I’ve learned that both series filmed in Deep Cove, BC. My question, obviously, is are they the same building used in both series? Have you already tracked this down? If not, another one to add to investigation list! Happy hunting!!

Hi Rea! Thanks for your comment. Olivia’s waterfront house from the pilot is in Victoria on Vancouver Island. Her waterfront home from season 3 in located in Vancouver. 🙂

Hi Julie! Thanks for your comment. Yeah, Moon was one of a kind…..loved the character on CC!!! It was really hard to have the show end the way it did. I SO wish they would put together a 2 hours movie to finish things properly for all of us fans. 🙂

Loved Moon and his cafe… We discovered CC on Netflix this last Christmas season 2017… Really enjoyed it until,,, it ended! And the way it ended with no regard to their viewer’s. Tacky, class less and quite frankly rude!

Hi Alston, thanks for your comment! I am currently working on a ‘Look Back at Cedar Cove’ post, which will run in May. While it will not have every locations from the series, there will be many of the key locations we’ve scene in CC. As a fan/reader of Debbie Macomber, I know the books are very different than the TV show was. Stay tuned…….:)
