Hi Stephanie, thanks for your comment. Although I have not “scene” the new Nancy Drew series, I did a quick google search and discovered that yes, it is the same location as Seth & Justines restaurant that burned. Here is a link to a piece I did, which includes that location. Part Three: The Town of Cedar Cove Good eye!!! It has been used in many movies & shows. The restaurant may have closed down but film crews keep it alive!!! 🙂

I’m watching the new CW’s Nancy Drew tv series and every time I see the restaurant “The Claw” I am overwhelmed with being reminded of the restaurant that burns in Hallmark’s Cedar Cove series. After snooping online I’ve learned that both series filmed in Deep Cove, BC. My question, obviously, is are they the same building used in both series? Have you already tracked this down? If not, another one to add to investigation list! Happy hunting!!

Hi Rea! Thanks for your comment. Olivia’s waterfront house from the pilot is in Victoria on Vancouver Island. Her waterfront home from season 3 in located in Vancouver. 🙂

Hi Julie! Thanks for your comment. Yeah, Moon was one of a kind…..loved the character on CC!!! It was really hard to have the show end the way it did. I SO wish they would put together a 2 hours movie to finish things properly for all of us fans. 🙂

Loved Moon and his cafe… We discovered CC on Netflix this last Christmas season 2017… Really enjoyed it until,,, it ended! And the way it ended with no regard to their viewer’s. Tacky, class less and quite frankly rude!

Hi Alston, thanks for your comment! I am currently working on a ‘Look Back at Cedar Cove’ post, which will run in May. While it will not have every locations from the series, there will be many of the key locations we’ve scene in CC. As a fan/reader of Debbie Macomber, I know the books are very different than the TV show was. Stay tuned…….:)

As a Cedar Cove fan, how would I get a listing of the individual scene locations & spots used in seasons 1-3 of the tv series? I fell in love with the show so I purchased the Cedar Cove books (by Debbie Macomber) & the Hallmark Channel tv show series with Andie MacDowell & Dylan Neal. I’ve read what I could find to learn more about the show & it’s characters. Any insight into the show & books is appreciated.

Sally, thank you so much for your comment! And I love that Moon is your fave character from CC……know you can get an up close look at his place from season 2! It is a shame that the building is closed up but film crews are utilizing it. I was back there in Feb. and Garage Sale Mystery was getting ready to shoot there. Between you and me, it’ll always be Moon’s. 😉

I do take location ideas…..and am always on the prowl for locations when I visit out of state and out of the country! We are in the process of planning a trip back to Europe in 2020 and I told my husband I want to go to the Hotel Pupp from Last Holiday……not kidding! Anytime I travel anywhere, I always fit in some time at locations. 🙂

This was such a great article to read, Kerry! I’m not only a Cedar Cove fan, my favorite character from that show is Moon! I will admit that seeing your photos of “Moon’s Place” closed down made me feel sad, as it painfully reminded me that the show is never coming back. I don’t know if you accept suggestions for future location features, but if you do, I think it would be really cool to see film locations from Hallmark Hall of Fame movies (example: the U.S. Space & Rocket Center in Huntsville, Alabama from A Smile as Big as the Moon)!
