Hi Mark! Thanks for your comment. I would have to agree with you. I have the same issue with some cabinets in my house. They color looks one way in every photograph/video. And in person, they look totally different! It was very eye opening when we purchased the house because we found the place in an online listing. I was less than thrilled with the color of the cabs. But after seeing them in person, I can live with them….at least for now. LOL. Light and filters have a lot to do with it, that is for sure!!! 🙂

I see the same thing in the photos above, comparing the inside of the flower shop in the movies “My favorite wedding” and “Yes I do.” Notice how the counter top on the left side of the screen looks beige in the former film and gray in the latter film. I suspect this is due to various color filters being used by the filmmakers, changing the look of a house or the inside of a flower shop.

Hi Karen and welcome!!! I am so glad you watched Mechanics of Love……wasn’t it so great???? I had never heard of it before I met the owner of the florist. Such a cute story!!! I have already located the garage, coffee shop and bar from the movie……the bar has been in a few other movies and I recognized it early on in the film. The coffee shop is actually another section of the bar. You should plan a trip to BC. Summer or fall is a perfect time to come!!! Thank you so much for your support.

Hi Carole, yes, this is the same Maple Ridge from your fave movie! And it is filled with gorgeous neighborhoods, both old and new. When I spent my first afternoon there, I was in such film location overload, I didn’t know where to look first because I recognized so many places all at once!!! I started on the busy 224th Street. That is so cool that you were able to locate the house from your fave movie and “see” it on Google Street view!!! (Best creation ever!) Check out 11952 224th street in Maple Ridge and stroll up & down the street. This is one of THE most popular areas to film in Maple Ridge! Hallmark and Lifetime fans will recognize it from the many, many movies that have filmed there. 🙂
